Cookies that are always on. The editorial interface uses a login cookie and a cookie that protects against forged requests. They are set only for editors who log in, never for readers.
Analytics, only with consent. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits in aggregate. Without consent the script is not loaded and no tracking cookie is set. Google Analytics sets the cookies "_ga" and "ga…", which last up to two years. The data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred to the United States.
How to change your choice. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and is valid for six months. You can change it at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Rejecting also deletes cookies Analytics has already set.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the time of sign-up, the page you signed up from and a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to prevent abuse. We use the address solely to send the newsletter. We delete it on request sent to editor@thewonderbrief.com.
Legal basis. For analytics and the newsletter, it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For the editorial interface cookies, it is what the system needs to work.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing and to withdraw consent. If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can contact the competent data protection authority.
